Description
Understanding Your Inner Child and Giving Yourself What You Needed
Many of the patterns that trouble us as adults, such as people-pleasing, harsh self-criticism, fear of rejection or difficulty trusting, began as a child's best way of staying safe. The child you once were is still part of you, still carrying those early feelings and needs.
Does this sound familiar?
- A friend cancels plans, and a wave of rejection stays with you all evening.
- Someone raises their voice slightly, and you suddenly feel small and frightened.
- You find it almost impossible to say no, even when you are exhausted.
- You would never speak to a child the way you speak to yourself.
In those moments, it can feel as if someone younger has taken over. In a way, perhaps someone has.
What this course is about
This program is not about blaming anyone or living in the past. It is about understanding where your patterns began, and learning to offer yourself the care you needed then.
The central question
"How old do I feel right now?"
What is included
- The book: The Child You Still Carry. Eight short, clear chapters (31 pages) on the inner child, how early experiences stay with us, and how to give yourself what you needed. Each chapter ends with reflection questions.
- The workbook: Gentle questions and small exercises for every chapter, with space to write. This is where you put the ideas into practice.
- The 30-day challenge: One small practice a day, most under ten minutes. Four weeks: noticing, connecting, caring and living it.
- The quick-start guide and mind map: A simple plan for how to use everything, plus a one-page map of the main ideas.
What you receive
A download link for all the PDF files and the mind map, available right after purchase.

Questions
Is this therapy?
No. This is a self-guided educational program for reflection and personal growth. It is not psychotherapy and does not replace personal care from a qualified professional. If you would like to work with Atul directly, you can book a psychotherapy session through this website.
Is this right for me if I have experienced trauma?
If you have experienced abuse, violence or other serious trauma, please do this work with the support of a qualified therapist rather than alone. The program is designed to be gentle, but some memories are best explored with personal support.
Does this replace my doctor or medication?
No. Please do not stop or change any prescribed medication or treatment because of this program. Speak with the professional responsible for your care first.
Who is this not for?
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out for direct support rather than a self-guided program. In Canada you can call or text 9-8-8 at any time. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
How will I receive it?
Right after purchase you will get a download link for all the files.
